Development of Theoretical and Practical Foundations for Ensuring the Safety of Buildings and Structures under Seismic and Fire Risks
Synopsis
Ibragimov B.T., U.B.Kadirov. Development of theoretical and practical foundations for ensuring the safety of buildings and structures under seismic and fire risks. Monograph, Tashkent, 2024, p. 220. The text of the monograph provides a comprehensive analysis of modern indicators of damage caused by seismic and thermal effects on building elements. The analysis of deformations and distortions of building structures under the action of seismic forces, as well as studies on the use of seismic protection devices in construction and risk factors for earthquakes and fires caused by them at nuclear power facilities are widely analyzed. In addition, the algorithm for calculating the seismic fire hazard affecting a building and structure, and the methodology for studying the fire and seismic safety of building structures are widely studied. A number of practical tests were carried out. An assessment of the risks of objects under seismic and fire exposure was carried out. Separately, the dynamics of load distribution in frame buildings under the influence of seismic fire hazard was assessed. Clear estimate work was carried out. Attention is also paid to the process of assessing damage at industrial enterprises from damage to building structures as a result of fires, which is a secondary phenomenon of seismic impact. The tests of the effect of new fire-resistant structures on the damping properties of seismic protection and the assessment of damage to industrial enterprises from damage to building structures as a result of fires, which is a secondary phenomenon of seismic impact, were conducted. Methods for mitigating the expected damage from the combined effect of an earthquake with secondary fires were also studied in detail, and precise calculations of the required force were made. Theoretical and practical aspects of seismic and fire safety of buildings and structures were scientifically substantiated. An assessment of the probability of ensuring the safety of the energy system from unnatural (spontaneous) evolution of a complex system was carried out
